Connecting with Athletes

To begin coaching on the Coach Watts platform, you must establish a secure connection with your athletes. This ensures data privacy and explicit consent from the athlete.

How Connections Work

Coach Watts uses a secure invite code system. Athletes generate a unique, time-sensitive code that they share with their coach. Once you enter this code, you gain access to their performance data and the ability to manage their training plan.

Steps for Coaches

1. Get the Code: Ask your athlete to provide their Coach Invite Code.
2. Open Coaching Dashboard: Navigate to the Coaching page in your sidebar.
3. Add Athlete: Click the "Add Athlete" button in the top right.
4. Enter Code: Paste the 6-character code (e.g., AB12XY) provided by your athlete.
5. Start Coaching: Once connected, the athlete will appear in your "My Athletes" list.

Steps for Athletes

If your athlete is unsure how to find their code, you can guide them with these steps:

1. Navigate to the Coaching page.
2. Select the "My Coaches" tab.
3. Click "Generate Invite Code".
4. Copy the code and send it to your coach.

!NOTE Invite codes are valid for a limited time. If a code expires before you use it, the athlete will need to generate a new one.

Managing Connections

• Removing an Athlete: Coaches can currently remove athletes from their dashboard by contacting support.
• Removing a Coach: Athletes can revoke a coach's access at any time from the "My Coaches" tab by clicking "Remove".
