The Coach Watts AI is not just a chatbot—it's a deeply integrated training assistant with access to your real-time data, plans, and history.
What the Coach Can Do
You can interact with your coach via the Chat tab. The coach has access to specialized tools to help you manage your life as an athlete.
1. Manage Your Workouts
You can ask the coach to create, update, or find workouts:
- "Schedule a 90-minute zone 2 ride for tomorrow morning."
- "I'm feeling tired, can we make today's intervals easier?"
- "Show me my last 3 running sessions."
2. Analyze Your Progress
Ask for deep dives into your performance:
- "How is my aerobic fitness trending over the last month?"
- "Compare my power output from this morning to my last 2x20 threshold session."
- "Why is my recovery score so low this week?"
3. Nutritional Guidance
Get advice based on your metabolic data and training load:
- "What should my carb intake look like for my 4-hour ride on Saturday?"
- "Give me a high-protein meal plan for a double-workout day."
How the Chat Works
Durable Conversations
Every message you send is part of a Durable Turn. This means:
- Persistence: Your conversation is saved and can be resumed across devices.
- Background Execution: If you ask for a complex training block, the AI works in the background and will notify you when it's done.
- Real-time Updates: When the coach modifies your plan, the changes appear instantly on your Dashboard and Calendar.
Best Practices for Interaction
- Be Specific: Instead of "Make me a plan," try "Generate a 4-week base-building block for a 100km cycling event in June."
- Provide Context: Mention how you feel. "I slept poorly last night, should I still do my HIIT session?" allows the coach to factor in your recovery data.
- Trust the Tools: When the coach triggers a tool (like
create_planned_workout), you will see a preview of the action. You can always ask it to refine the result if it's not perfect.
